Jaimee Taitz
Clinical Psychologist
Jaimee sees therapy as not only a process of growth but as one of constant expansion. Practicing within a psychodynamic/psychoanalytic approach, Jaimee believes that therapy is about searching for what the mind hides from us. It is through this search that one can free up space in one’s mind to live a more intentional and meaningful life. To become alive.
Jaimee works from the assumption that our perceptions of the world and ourselves are coloured by our early experiences and relationships and by gaining insight into these, one can make meaning of one’s lived experience in the here-and-now. She intends to facilitate a process of giving verbal shape to what once was an inarticulate unconscious experience.
She appreciates the vulnerable nature of a therapeutic relationship, while also recognizing the importance of feeling seen, heard and known.
