Warrick is an Educational Psychologist and Registered Counsellor who studied his MEd Ed Psych at UJ. He is skilled in psycho-educational, academic assessments, and career and subject choice assessments. He also provides therapy and counselling to young adults, adolescents and children struggling with depression, anxiety, relationships, low self-esteem, sexuality, and anything else that may be bothering them. Parents are often involved in the process where family relational structures have broken down or become strained.
He works predominantly from a post-modernist framework, incorporating, Brief Solution Focussed Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and a fair measure of Carl Rogers’ humanistic, Client Centered Therapy thrown in for good measure. In addition, he utilizes a lot of Play Therapy and creative expressive art in his therapeutic processes, especially with children.
